If your GP is not available, you can call NHS 24 with a mental health crisis. You will be connected to a team of psychological wellbeing practitioners who are specially trained and work in mental health.

MHAS for Lothians
MHAS is an emergency mental health assessment service. It’s a mental health nurse-led team based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. You can call them about yourself or a friend/family member.

They provide life-saving services, information and advice to help anyone struggling with life navigate the issues that can make us feel miserable. They also offer tools that give you practical ways to manage your mental health.
